TIAC coordinated scheduled taxi and rental car operators to practice MOTC's "Airport to Residence Transportation Services for Home Quarantine" policy. 620 vehicles will be on standby from 4th March. Applicable arrival passengers are issued a home quarantine form at the fever screening station, and undergo procedures such as document inspection and baggage claim. Priority would be given to self-driving passengers and those to be picked up by friends and relatives. For passengers going to Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, Taoyuan and Hsinchu, please board scheduled meter taxis in the airport: starting from May 11, metered rides will only charge a maximum of NT$1,000. People going to central Taiwan should take a rental car and pay according to the price list announced by MOTC. Epidemic prevention buses in the airport will also be launched on March 19 for those traveling to destinations south of Yunlin and who have relatives or friends to pick them up at the bus stop. They can board the bus after paying part of the transportation costs and filling in relevant information. Residents of outlying islands should undergo home quarantine on the main island in accordance with relevant regulations.

The promotional period of the above services lasted from 4th to 10th March. After formal implementation passengers needing home quarantine will no longer be allowed to use public transportation. Violators will be fined from NT$100,000 to NT$1 million in accordance with Article 15 of the ‘Special Act for Prevention, Relief and Revitalization Measures for Severe Pneumonia with Novel Pathogens’.

Passengers should follow the guidance to the taxi, rental car, and tour bus counters in arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 2, where the on-site personnel will confirm the destination, copy the home quarantine form, and guide the boarding.

To launch the quarantine fleet, TIAC has asked CDC physicians to carry out educational training, including pneumonia health education, for on-site personnel and drivers. Meanwhile TIAC continues to strengthen vehicle and field sanitizing and disinfection, as well as driver self-protection, to ensure passenger’s transportation safety. TIAC calls on passengers to cooperate with epidemic prevention measures, thus protecting themselves and others. By following the signs and guidance of on-site personnel, all travelers will be able to return home smoothly while contributing to prevent the epidemic.
