Taoyuan International Airport Corporation held the third provisional meeting of the fourth-term board of directors today (22nd), during which the appointment of the new President & CEO Dan Jhao-bi was passed.

The President said in his speech that he is extremely honored to undertake this important task and will be performing his duties with the utmost vigilance. Since the establishment of Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, it has received many international recognitions and awards in airport management and passenger services. The President also stated that his hopes to uphold this fine tradition. In addition, to face the challenges faced by airport operations, he will remain committed to the reinforcement of foundational strength including facilities and manpower; in other words, all tangible aspects of Taoyuan Airport including infrastructure comprehensiveness and quality will be optimized, intangible aspects such as human resources and professional training will be upgraded and advanced. In order to welcome the end of the epidemic and the recovery and growth of transportation volume in the future, Terminal 3 and the third runway are as a matter of course key projects that the President will work closely on with colleagues, the general counselor and design consultants in performing their respective duties so as to achieve the goal of completing the projects as scheduled while maintaining the target work quality. He will also work with all TIAC colleagues and partners of the airport alliance to assist the airport in sound developments and advancements.

During the handover ceremony, Chairman of TIAC Lin Kuo-shian especially thanked former President & CEO Lin Hsiang-sheng for his contribution during his tenure at TIAC and commitment to making Taoyuan Airport smarter, more beautiful, and more fun. The traffic volume of Taoyuan Airport has furthermore achieved new heights during the former President & CEO’s tenure As for TIAC’s ranking among the top 100 service industries in the country, its outstanding performance in air freight after-tax net profit and profitability are also the outstanding achievements of President & CEO Lin. In the future, the company hopes to continue to rely on his expertise, innovation and marketing expertise in providing guidance to TIAC. He emphasized when welcoming the incoming President & CEO that President & CEO Dan Jhao-bi’s expertise in the airport industry is indisputable, and his abilities and dedicated attitude are even more well-known. The Chairman therefore hopes that President & CEO Dan’s professionalism and experience as well as his familiarity with airport operations will enable the entire TIAC staff to advance to a higher level.

Supervisor Yang Yong-sheng, Counselor of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, said that President & CEO Dan has served successively as section chief of the Civil Aeronautics Administration, chief of the Flight Operations Section at the Airport Office, and Vice President of TIAC and that his performance is acclaimed by all. As the first TIAC member of staff to be promoted internally to the position of President & CEO, he is a figure worthy of emulation for all TIAC colleagues while his expertise in the aviation industry will contribute greatly to the planning and construction of Taoyuan Airport’s Terminal 3 and third runway, the upgrading of the airport into a smart facility, and enable the airport to attain new milestones one after another.
