Terminal 3 Project
 

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 3 Project (hereinafter referred to as T3 project) is one of the major development projects supported by government's policy of promoting Aerotropolis. Based on construction scale and investment cost, it is the single largest project since Ten Major Construction Projects in Taiwan.

Taoyuan Airport Corporation (hereinafter referred to as TAC) drafted the "Implementation Plan for Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Park" based on the Conceptual Plan initiated by MOTC, was approved by Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) on June 28, 2012. In order to create a world-class passenger terminal and enhance passenger experiences, the short-term objective is to improve the level of services at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTIA), and to develop T3 project with a macro perspective and visionary thinking, and to provide the best quality services and passenger experiences.

Began in January 2013, a consortium of Netherlands Airport Consultants B.V. (NACO), TY Lin International Taiwan, and Parsons Brinckerhoff International, Inc. Taiwan Branch has been selected to perform the planning and project management of the Terminal 3 Area Development. The initial planning features of T3 Project include:

  • Design capacity of 45 million in Terminal 3 are planned to accommodate future total passenger capacity of 86 million in year 2042.
  • 26 Boarding Gates.
  • Efficient taxiway and airside service road design.
  • Convenient and understandable road traffic access.
  • Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are connected by MFB to create a mega terminal concept.
  • A whole new commercial service concept.
  • Design guideline based on Smart, Green, and Re-culture concept.

WC Taxiway Relocate Project
WC Taxiway Relocation and Dual-Lane Project

As the fast track work of Terminal 3 Project, the features of WC Taxiway Relocation and Dual-Lane Project are:

  • The existing taxiway is to be relocated westwards 740m.
  • This new dual lane taxiway will be able to accommodate Code F aircrafts, improve the operation efficiency, and maximize the numbers of contact/remote aircraft stands.
  • Part of the Hangzhan N/S Road is to be under the new WC Taxiway, and an elevated recirculation to be built in the east of Puhsin River, with the airside service roads, which will improve the traffic flow both on airside and landside of TTIA.
  • For this relocation project, the Aviation Museum was closed in March 2014, and the relocation of its historical artifacts is in progress.

The Key Construction Plan of WC Taxiway Relocation and Dual-Lane Project was approved by MOTC on August 2014. TAC will work closely and actively with the commission entity, Taiwan Area National Expressway Engineering Bureau(TANEEB), for the design tender process.

International Competition
“Design and Construction Supervision Technical Service for Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 3 Area” International Competition has finished successfully on October 30, 2015, and CECI's JV won the prize.
