Built with glass curtain walls and steel trusses, the terminal stands at a height of 34 meters and boasts a futuristic and modern aesthetic. The third and fourth floors at a height of 23 meters is departure hall, with plenty of natural light to create a bright and airy ambiance. Stepping into the waiting area, passengers were greeted by a warm embrace of tropical charm, with palm trees, a globe fountain, and a semi-circular staircase exuding Taiwan's island hospitality. On July 19, 2015, the Emirates Airbus A380 double-decker made its inaugural flight to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTIA). To service the superjumbo jet, a transparent double-decker airbridge that can telescope in just one minute was installed at the C2 boarding gate. As air travel demand recovers after the pandemic, Emirates is set to resume Airbus A380 flights on the Taipei-Dubai route from August 1,2023, meaning the spectacular sight of all three bridges operating simultaneously will once again grace the airport.
