To this aim, TIAC has invited 85 partners to sign a memorandum of understanding pledging to collectively reduce carbon emissions and pursue the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 4 certification. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTIA) has achieved an annual reduction of one million metric tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the carbon absorption of 82 Daan Forest Parks, as Chairman Yang Wei-fuu proudly announced. This outstanding achievement has garnered international recognition, including the ACI Green Airport Recognition and ACA Level 3 Optimization. Accelerating Net Zero Through Circular Economy As net zero has become a key trend for sustainable industrial development, airports, known for their high energy consumption, must shift the focus from "carbon reduction" to "circular economy" to accelerate progress toward achieving net-zero goals by 2050. "A successful circular economy is crucial for reducing carbon emissions and creating a more sustainable planet," emphasized Chairman Yang Wei-fuu.
