Upon receiving the alert, airport fire brigade and Aviation Police Bureau promptly joined forces with the military, defending the airport until the enemy forces were neutralized. Civil Airports as Part of National Defense The exercise was conducted in light of the lessons of the Russo-Ukrainian War, where critical infrastructures such as airports were proven to have strategic significance for national defense beyond their roles as airline hubs. Consequently, TTIA was chosen as one of the sites for the 2023 Han Kuang Exercises, marking the first live-fire military drill held on its grounds.
